The Waterfall Of English

After the earthquake happens, the ocean is drawn back and all sorts of treasures come in sight. So while the people are just taking objects without knowing why, the sea falls and swallows everyone up. As an inanimate character, the sea can be the exploitative kind; because it manipulates people to fulfill its own need as the story says "And then the sea came back, engulfed them to add to its treasury."

When the treasure under the sea grows notable, people rush just to take without knowing why! They simply take because they can and want others not to grab "this was-when, anytime, sometime-valuable, that might be useful, what was this, well someone will know. If you don't grab what's over there, someone else will." People are hoarders. They only wanna have massive amounts of collections without knowing the reason or even the use of things!

The man is actually the hoarder of the hoarders! The book says: "Some of which, he didn't notice, deliberately, that he probably shouldn't have acquired but Cannot cast off." In the rest of the story, the man also adds himself to other looters.

Personal view:The thing about the story called "loot" that impressed me, was that although it was a short story, it had lots of concepts behind it. In my opinion the man finds the real himself in the mirror or even his love! Because the story describes the mirror this way"there, ornate with tresses of Orange-Brown seaweed, suck-fast worm nacreous shells and crenellations of red coral, is the object." The man had lost some thing for a long time and that's why he calls it "the object". It was somehow interesting that under the sea 'representing death' the concept of time is meaningless. All is the same and people whether they were ,well-known or unanimous, would be one. The same fate is expecting all of us. We are all nobody and doomed to death:)

Hanging up the phone, we started rushing towards the old man's house.  "My doubt has changed to certainty by the scream which I heard from the next house"Remembering the things the man had told him in the phone.

The old man was attacked there without any doubt!

As we arrived, knocking on the door with the intension of breaking it , a calm strange looking man opened the door gazing at the empty atmosphere beyond his sight. While I was asking about the old man and giving him a credit of the call we had, he seemed to be all ears but he was actually trying to hide his nervousness and It was crystal clear for an experienced man like me. He said the old man was on a business trip so the heard scream was just the neighbour's apparition. To prove himself, at once, he took us to every single space of the good smelling house so the whole of it was checked in less than five minutes. Against our expectations, there was even no clue of any other persons so our doubt started to decrease! But we had to try all the chances, thus sitting on the chairs with me and my friends, we started somehow smiling at the bland jokes which paul played on me in order for the man to become tense because that way he would imagine that he is the butt of our jokes. As our smile changed to laughter, I noticed that he started pacing the floor to and fro like the way he was fury of our observations. With the time passing by, we could hear his gasping for breath and abruptly he began uttering curses on us!

We were gazing at him that he unexpectedly said: tear up the planks. The beating of his hideous heart is here.

The question:

while participating in a revolution against an unjust tyrant, you are caught and thrown into a prison cell that has a dirt floor, thick stone walls, no Windows. There's only a skylight, very high above,to provide light and air. To prevent escape, there are no tables or chairs, only a very small mattress on the floor. Just before you are locked in,a comrade whispers to you that it is possible to escape through the skylight by digging a hole in the floor. How can we do this?

:The solution

It would be possible to use the dirt that has been dug out of the ground to make a sort of pile. A large enough pile of dirt in combination with the mattress could provide you with just enough height to reach the skylight.

Walking up the stairs, she was  all eyes.. how was it possible? That the whole meaning of beauty was summed up in the fallen leaves on her left side. For almost the one thousandth time she confessed that autumn was the most breathtaking season ever. As she walked more, she got more impressed and was about to faint after seeing all the shelves up to sky like the skyscrapers. She was so amazed that she didn’t know which book she wanted to borrow. Running through the aisles and starting to sing, she received several warnings...as she was searching for the book called “What Is Nihilism?” she saw a young black man who was drown into his books. With that sly though popping into her mind she asked herself whether she knew how to find the wanted book. Trying to hide that evil smile decorating her face, she approached him and started acting like she didn’t know how to find books. He smiled at her gently and although was a foreigner tried to help her after asking several questions. The girl’s smile became wider as she was walking after him and was actually walking on air since she was  succeeded in communicating with an awkward black man. After finding the needed book, she thanked the man and started going for a part of library which was belonged to children and teenagers. Ahh God! The gleam in her eyes was so noticeable that everyone burst into laughter by looking at her face but as usual she didn’t care! As she opened a book, a scream was heard and another warning came afterward! She couldn’t take her eyes off the shapes all around that comic book. On the next page, a shadow was drown trying to frighten a little kid staring at it… the boy’s gesture was so poor that the girl’s eyes filled up with tears. Was it a book for children? Trying to inform the ones in the library that it was inappropriate, she was ignored. Not thinking about the upsetting caused by ignorance, she sat somewhere starting to read the new book. As she was deeply reading it, she heard that it was time to go but not going to class but upstairs! Jumping off the chair and making an unpleasant sound, she followed others till reaching a part called archives. She found that place so boring that started to read some magazines there in order to pass the time. With the teacher’s heavenly sound, before everyone she ran away from that hell! As she was going happily towards the shelves to find some romantic books, the teacher’s sound searching for her was heard and now it was a real time to go home! After the teacher’s asking about our opinions on how the visit was, we snapped some photos and the mob scattered in the blink of an eye after waving goodbye! But her story wasn’t finished and after reaching home she got back there again being addict by gazing and smelling books she acted like awkward!

Paraphrase:

Flapjack said "here it is" as he hit a long-used gun on the defaced table. Wallace moved the gun off the letter he was writing started with the word MaMeave and put the fresh paper in his pocket while bending it. Calmly, Wallace leaned on the sofa ,with his eyes closed, smoking a cigarette. Flapjack with the same interest grown up with him since the elementary school ,which always made Wallace uneasy, told him not to withdraw. While bending towards Flapjack trying not to hurt his own injured leg, Wallace smoothly said if he had told that he wanted to back out. With his back to Flapjack, Wallace went towards the kitchen turning the tap on. He told that he would see Flapjack at eleven-thirty so Flapjack left the house. Starring at the gun on the table, Wallace chose a cigarette with ifs circling round his head, Wallace couldn't believe that he listened to Flapjack's suggestion of robbing but it was late and the rent was due tomorrow. With Flapjack being late, they heeded for Leroy's store. On the way, Wallace was thinking about cancelling the robbery and getting back home as Meave couldn't force him to leave the house for the late rent or so. Entering the store after repeating the plan, Wallace stood next to the magazine shelf pretending to read. There were five people including a police officer and an old lady bargaining on a paste. Releasing a breath as the cop left, Wallace frowned as Flapjack was disappeared. Since he found out there's no time left, started walking to the counter. Wallace warned Leroy to put all the money on the table. Meanwhile, the old lady started screaming and swinging round the store. With Wallace shouting, the old lady ran out of the store with three pastes hidden under his dress. Leroy putting money on the table with indifference, Wallace got angrier as he didn't like his cold and familiar eyes. Leroy started talking an as soon as he reached the word daddy, Wallace marked his head. Leroy fell on the floor and Wallace snatching the bag and started running. He felt as he could now walk properly because with all of that money, not the rent will be late again ,not the starve would come back to him and the boldest one was that he could find a job even bum legged. As he reached home, the phone started ringing... Wallace told Flapjack that he couldn't get so much money so that they couldn't share the amount which they had talked about before.

Continuing the letter started with the demand of getting back to his Meave, he wrote that he changed his mind on and would stay there.

Summary:

With the rent that was late, Wallace started writing a letter to his love and saying that he wanted to get back to Samson, the small city he lived there before. with the sound of a gun put on the table, Wallace realized that his friend called Flapjack had returned. Flapjack asked Wallace not to back out on the robbery and after Wallace put the letter in his pocket he recalled that he had no other choice but to accept. The rent was due tomorrow and he couldn't cry over the milk. After a while, they heeded for the Leroy's store which was a small but rich one controlled by a black man who had too much lip and pride with a wife and a girlfriend. After the store was deserted, Wallace marked Leroy's head and runed away with the grabbed money without finding the disappeared Flapjack. Answering the ringing phone at home, he told lies to Flapjack including that he earned so little money and they couldn't share it as they had talked about it before. After leaning against his sofa, he continued the letter this way: "well, I changed my mind. The city just picked up and now everything is different."

Notes:

Wallace: a man who pretends that he loves a girl called Meave. He is a good person and the starve has leaded him to robbery.

The thing about him which bothers me is that if he didn't love the girl why he called her MaMaeve? And if he didn't want to get back home why he started the letter and wanted to bother the girl by telling that she won't come back? And why didn't the boy end the letter by telling yourwallace?

Flapjack: a man who wanna help Wallace but he doesn't know how and he is drunk most of the time.

Leroy: a shopkeeper that resembles Wallace's father as Wallace says "his eyes cold and familiar"

Somehow always fantasizing about having the whole world underneath his feet, he could finally reach the summit of Mt.Everest. It was approximately sixty hours that he hadn't slept and all he had eaten was a very small amount of peanuts and a bowl of soup. His mind could work only the way that a slow child's works and this was caused by reaching so little oxygen. After fulfilling his dream, being on the top of the earth which is the most detached place ever, all he could feel was so much happiness and starve and cold and tiredness that robbed him of the ability to care.

In my opinion, Life is a series of risks, nothing more. Any attempt at everything has a chance of complete failure. We risk everything; there's always a chance that walking outside will kill us. I personally think that taking risks is a good choice to make progress either in your own life or even in science. I oppose taking risks that may bring about death and this stuff but I absolutely agree with trying somehow dangerous things in order to make life interesting.
